Jungle Houston Concert reviews
Rock'n Roll as it was meant to be played
"I was not a big fan of Jungle until Sunday night, but as it turned out, I discovered that I was familiar with more of his music than I thought. The music was pure fun from the very start to the final note, hard-driving and influenced by early rockers like Chuck Berry, Bill Haley, Johnny Cash, and even the Rolling Stones. He was ever the showman, quick to throw it back at any idiot drunk enough to taunt him and toying with the crowd. You could see the influence of the early rockers, like Chuck Berry, Bill Haley, Johnny Cash, and even the Rolling Stones. I couldn't help but wonder why I hadn't paid more attention to this outstanding musician over the years. At 68-years, George still has the voice and the moves – a performer and a performance not to be missed. Of course, the musicians with him were all great in their own right – gotta love that sax player! "Don't rush me. It took me 40 years to get here and I'll decide what I play," he playfully shot back at one particularly annoying patron. What a fantastic show!"
